Sinopsis(1)
Los que se quedan nos descubre a un profesor cascarrabias (Paul Giamatti) de un prestigio colegio americano que se ve obligado a permanecer en el campus durante las vacaciones de Navidad para velar por un puñado de estudiantes que no tienen a dónde ir. Contra todo pronóstico, la convivencia le llevará a forjar un insólito vínculo con uno de ellos, un inteligente y problemático muchacho con sus propios traumas (Dominic Sessa), y con la jefa de cocina de la escuela, que acaba de perder un hijo en Vietnam (Da’Vine Joy Randolph).
