Nelson Crowe es un agente de la CIA caído en desgracia por la desaparición de un cargamento de 50.000 dólares en oro. Le chantajean para que se introduzca en una empresa de espionaje industrial, la organización Grimes, con el fin de extorsionar a cargos de importancia. An excellent atmospheric road movie, in many ways even better and more interesting than the more famous Hitcher. Endless desert roads lined with only a few abandoned motels, properly bleak cinematography and minimalist production design that relies solely on the performances of the two leading actors. And all this wrapped in an interesting theme of a mass murderer and a "rich" robber. Eric Roberts clearly enjoys his psychopathic role, but, as usual, it's the traditionally charismatic Henriksen who dominates the film as an actor and is also given more space. A small, but proper thriller with capital T. 80%
