Cuando la compañía Heath & Morton se enriquece gracias al doctor Carruthers, éste no se siente suficientemente recompensado y decide vengarse de los dueños del negocio familiar. Para ello, hará uso de un murciélago al que ha conseguido, mediante impulsos eléctricos, hacer alcanzar dimensiones gigantescas, y que guarda en su laboratorio. El murciélago ha sido entrenado para atacar cuando percibe el olor de un perfume que el propio doctor ha producido y se va encargando de suministrar a sus futuras víctimas. (Filmin)

Bela Lugosi isn't as demonic in the film as he is in other roles; here, he plays more of a man who is weary of life and simply trying to survive and seek revenge for the injustices he's suffered, whether real or perceived. Still, his performance is quite good, but even that doesn't really stand out in this easily forgettable film. Regardless, it’s a nice reminder of earlier times.
