[KVIFF 2018] ()

inglés The weaker spots were there, but they didn't bother me - I took them as little snippets amongst the hilarious funny scenes. Besides the photographs being taken at the police station, I almost went crazy when, for example, Gene Wilder “quietly" penetrated the greenhouse. That really has to be seen. Last but not least, I liked that the film didn't make fun of the blind or the deaf, but also that at the same time it wasn't too careful - in short, it knew the right measure. ()

inglés I first saw this comedy around 1993 and I remember it being very enjoyable. I watched it today expecting to be underwhelmed, but I'm perfectly happy to keep the original four stars. I had a great time again despite the film's dated feel. The premise was great, Kevin Spacey hasn't been edited out, Joan Severance was a treat for the eye, and the final duel of the blindmen had me in stitches. ()

inglés This film left me with two clearly defined feelings. Gene Wilder reminded me of the time I was watching him in Blazing Saddles and enjoyed the film even for the fifth time. And then I was reminded or Laurel and Hardy, only with completely different actors, one of whom plays the blind and the other the deaf. A very nice slapstick with a solid old-school vulgar Czech voice acting, which I appreciate. ()
