inglés I don’t know what Einstein would say, but it is a fairly entertaining film. And the rom-com specialist Meg Rain is a sure bet that never disappoints. ()

inglés It’s been a long time since I’ve been intrigued by an old movie with a good Czech dubbing that I haven’t heard of before. But to dare to make a fictional script out of Albert Einstein’s life and make it into a romantic comedy, that must have taken some balls! Walter Matthau and his group of professors were amazing, and it was a joy to watch them think of clever ploys to befriend Tim Robbins and Meg Ryan. There was an abundance of useless and even cringy scenes for a romantic comedy, as per usual, but on the other hand, I had been laughing since the beginning till the very end. ()

inglés Meg Ryan's sweet face remains a reliable prototype for the romantic heroine, Robbins's likeable performance is a long-standing 90s ornament, and Walter Matthau's vital Einstein perfectly embodies the endearingness and wit with which Americans are able to portray any historical figure, however quirky. The result is nothing great and at times it even smells of wasted potential, but just for the original idea, smart humour (so beautifully mocking all intellectuals) and flawless casting I'm not going to go below 70%. After all, I don't even have a good reason for it... ()
