inglés The most valuable production and screenplay idea in Screamplay was to use old German expressionist films for modern parody. The genius of the idea lies in the fact that in stylization, the film's flaws are lost, and any mistake can be seen as part of the game with the audience. The problem is that both the direction and the cast are not first or even second-rate, but rather somewhere near the bottom. The actors overact far too much and thus their inexperience and lack of skill get somewhat lost, and the same can be said for the direction. However, Rufus Butler Seder should know that German expressionists were great perfectionists and would hardly tolerate a winking corpse, sloppy costumes, and casual acting. At times, it resembles more of a classic American slapstick, but it is still a likable film, and if one doesn't have high expectations, one can be entertained. An extremely cheap film, made in the simplest sets, where practically nothing could go wrong. Overall impression: 50%. ()
