The Emperor's New Clothes is a very unconventionally conceived and original piece from Walt Disney's workshop, which captivates with a brisk pace, a diverse cast of characters and more than one funny idea. Story-wise, the film does not offer any deeper plot twist and the whole thing plays purely on that humorously didactic note, but it is nevertheless presented in a supremely enjoyable way that makes you forgive the flatter plot and lets you ride the wave of humour, action and lessons. Seventy minutes of non-violent fun guaranteed! ()
An entertaining animated film that has a slightly too cliché story for the humor to fully rescue it. I enjoyed it, by the way, the original dubbing was absolutely great, but perhaps it would need even more lighthearted humor for me to rate the film as a truly distinct Disney one. It is different, to some extent, and that's good. ()
