El Dr. Braun (Charles Coburn), cirujano vienés, y su hija Leni (Sigrid Gurie) llegan a un pequeño pueblo de Dakota del Norte como refugiados escapando de Hitler. Cuando los vientos del Dust Bowl amenazan el pueblo, John Phillips (John Wayne) lidera a sus habitantes en su viaje a Oregon en busca de pastos más verdes. A classic, unremarkable film with John Wayne, which has a pretty good initial plot but then cools off a bit. The romance is well hinted at here and suits both characters quite nicely. It's not a film that will change your life or that you'll probably remember for the rest of your life, but in my opinion, it's not a waste of time either.
