A beautiful young artist must choose her destiny in this hauntingly sensual tale of love, passion, and revenge. Catherine Bomarzini visits her recently inherited Italian castle and gets caught in a mysterious love triangle with a man, who is repulsive yet enchanting, and a creature of the night. With the help of her faithful childhood nanny, Martha, and the ghost of a slain young girl, Catherine discovers that along with a castle, she has inherited a medieval curse that threatens her life. It's like being in something unnecessarily stretched out. Unnecessarily mainly because you've known how it will end for a long time. Meridian may seem like something more at the beginning, but it's really just a fantasy fairy tale that doesn't have a very big set design, but is quite theatrical, with slight references to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". But Meridian will never become a classic. ()
