inglés The main advantage of the film is the strong, emotionally intense story that has the potential to captivate primarily female audience - and of course me, a hopeless sensitive soul. Accusations of emotional manipulation are not appropriate this time, because the script faithfully reflects the literary source and it in turn portrays the cultural gap between Western modernity and the environment shaped by Islamic law - Sharia and local traditions. In that world, children automatically belong to the father after their parents' divorce... The described story is not exceptional at all, on the contrary, it reflects the experience of many women who married into areas dominated by conservative Islamic ideology. The film adaptation and the acting performances are standard, meaning they do not deviate from the average. Overall impression is 70%. ()
