Con miedo a las ovejas, y sesiones de psicoterapia hasta las orejas, Henry Oldfield (Nathan Meister) regresa a la granja familiar para vender su parte a su hermano mayor, Angus (Peter Feeney), ignorando que algo muy maaaalo está aconteciendo: Angus está aplicando un temerario programa de ingeniería genética. Cuando un par de activistas medioambientales ineptos liberan en la granja un cordero mutante procedente del laboratorio de Angus, miles de ovejas se convierten en depredadores sanguinarios. Junto al labriego Tucker (Tammy Davis) y la chica activista medioambiental Experience (Danielle Mason), Henry se ve atrapado en lo profundo de la propiedad viendo cómo su peor pesadilla se está haciendo una realidad por momentos. Abriéndose paso para salvar la vida, el intrépido trío pronto se da cuenta de que lo peor está aún por pasar: un mordisco de una oveja infectada parece provocar efectos alarmantes en los mordidos... Con un Angus comportándose sospechosamente de modo inseguro, una delegación internacional de inversores concentrándose ante la granja, y un rebaño de ovejas hambrientas descendiendo en tropel por las colinas, Henry no va a tener otro remedio que despertar al granjero que duerme en su interior para arrebatar a su monstruoso hermano el control de la granja, vencer la invasión ovina y salvar las verdes pasturas de Nueva Zelanda. Bee!! When the sheep horror looked serious in the beginning, I rolled my eyes, but as soon as the one-liners started and the wicked embryos began crawling on eccentric Greenpeace members, I let loose and partly fell in love with this perfectly crazy spoof with amazing pace. Denying certain established genre conventions borders on genius. The paraphrase of the old good cliché about smoking after sex, I almost couldn't stop laughing in context.

After a long time the Kiwis return to the waters where their bohemian Peter Jackson reigns supreme. Except that instead of creepy aliens or reanimated zombies, this time we have a herd of sheep terrorizing a group of people – this fact alone tells us that we are in for a very unconventional movie. But watch out, don’t be fooled by the seemingly harmless appearance of these furry creatures, all it takes is one little lab accident, one little bite, and you're in big trouble, with bloodthirsty sheep running around, eating people's intestines and tearing off their limbs just like in the days of Master Jackson, with people turning into weresheeps, and a protagonist who’s been terrified of sheep since he was a little boy. If that sounds crazy enough, let me tell you that the final version is twice as crazy, and if it wasn't for the terribly stupid and unoriginal story that tries to make a plot out of obligation, it could have been a big hit. As it is, it's just a relatively entertaining B-movie that I probably won't watch again.
