Olly es un escritor al borde del fracaso. Después de cinco años sin verse, un amigo de la Universidad le pide que sea el padrino en su boda. A pesar de sus reticencias iniciales, Olly acaba aceptando, pero todo se complica cuando, en la fiesta de compromiso, conoce a su mujer ideal: la novia. The film was a huge disappointment for me. The setting was okay, I just didn't understand why it needed to be set in England when it was a standard American romantic comedy. I got everything I don't like: predictable plot and humor, scenes that make me cringe, all insidiously wrapped up in a Union Jack. Having fun was almost out of the question, and the funniest moment was the handing out of questionnaires at the test screening. When I imagined having to fill one out about this movie, I finally got to laugh out loud. It’s already clear that I won't remember anything about this movie tomorrow. And that's a good thing. If a comedy fails to make me laugh, at least it shouldn’t traumatize me. / Lesson learned: If you know you can't deliver, don't make any promises. 2*-
