The Hockey Lie (S01E12)

While cheering at a hockey game, Steph (Kat Foster) admits to Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) that while she only pretended to be a "hockey girl" when they were dating, she actually hates the sport. Jeff relays his shock to Eddie (Brad Garrett) who contends that lies during the courting process are necessary for the survival of the species. When Joy (Joely Fisher) hears that Eddie believes married people grow apart over the years, she proves that she and Eddie have grown so close that they even eat Oreo cookies in the same unique way while watching infomercials. Jeff takes Eddie to a hockey game so he can enjoy the sport with another guy, while Joy finds herself out on the town with an old friend (Jessica Lundy).
