La primera adapatación de la serie de televisión Tales from the crypt basada, a su vez, en los cómics de la década de los 50. En esta historia, Brayker (Bill Sadler), un misterioso hombre, llega a una pensión de Nuevo México con la intención de defender a los huéspedes de un ejército liderado por un ladrón de almas al que llaman El Recolector (Billy Zane). Brayker oculta un gran secreto, es el encargado de guardar las siete llaves que protegen una serie de elementos con mucho poder, entre ellas se encuenta la sangre de Cristo. Si las llaves caen en manos de El Recolector, las diabólicas fuerzas se harán con su poder y provocarán el caos en cualquier lugar. (Universal Pictures España)

Full-length film shot in the style of television Tales from the Afterlife, which probably won't please those viewers who expect real fear from horror movies, because in terms of story and execution, Knight Demon simply cannot be taken seriously. On the other hand, it is evident that this is exactly the goal of the filmmakers, that it is a kind of tribute to cheap B-movie productions and that the actors and the whole crew probably had a good time during shooting. Practically everyone involved is overacting, intentionally or not, and surprisingly, it fits well in this spectacle. When watching Knight Demon, one cannot have high expectations. It is not a great film, but rather a relaxing affair for late evenings. Overall impression: 50%.
