It’s awful how long it’s been since a new horror movie satisfied me and this one was pretty painful. The story is clichéd, the female lead, who guides the viewer throughout the film (which, by the way, is too long) is very unlikeable. It was such a bad choice for a rainy afternoon that I almost fell asleep. But I don’t want to only complain, there are a couple of scenes with a decent atmosphere and it could have been more effective if I had watched it at night. Die-hard fans of ghost stories shouldn’t be too disappointed, it’s not that bad (objectively speaking). But for me it’s no better than 30%.

Death of a Ghost Hunter is a film that's ten years old, so you could forgive it for some things, but it suffers from the same flaws as recent Ghost Hunter movies from the past two or three years. There are characters you don't care about and don't want to identify with. There is a lack of tension and atmosphere and there are basically no scary scenes. This isn't a film that I would want or could rate positively.
