Sinopsis(1)
A punto de finalizar la Guerra de Secesión, un grupo de unionistas, liderados por el sádico capitán Terrill, asesina a la familia de un granjero llamado Joseph Wales (Clint Eastwood). Movido por el odio y el deseo de venganza, se une a un grupo de rebeldes. Poco después, finaliza la contienda, el ejército de la Unión ofrece la amnistía a todas las guerrillas y sus compañeros aceptan. Clint Eastwood shows how much western was close to him, how much he got tuned to it and was able to create a character that is mostly in line with the classic idea of spaghetti western, but at the same time, he is overall shifting somewhere else and becoming something different, something new. The finale is not in line with the classic tone of the western and it seems like even the genre is changing along with the character of Wales.
