Sinopsis(1)
La película sigue a un profesor escocés, Oliver Lindenbrook, que descubre por accidente un mapa con indicaciones de cómo llegar al centro de la Tierra a través de un cráter islandés. Cuando el profesor acude a su colega Alec McEwen para verificar el descubrimiento, Alec se vuelve en su contra y los dos compiten en una carrera por ver quién llegará primero al centro de la Tierra. James Mason is more or less a guarantee of quality for me in any case, and he did not disappoint me in this film either, which is also beautifully fantasy, thanks mainly to the excellent source material, but also to the execution. These are the old effects that I simply love, and the work with the lizards was successful. They look wonderfully believable as giant lizards. Naive and yet beautiful.
