A mysterious and invisible alien presence has landed in rural Texas and has started turning the nearby townspeople into white-faced, bloodthirsty killers. The American movie Blood Suckers from Outer Space is an example of a strangely humorous redneck horror movie. I like that it is unexpectedly quite gory in places and is quite entertaining as a result. There is some black humor, although, at other times, the jokes can be rather embarrassing. The movie’s producers just went for it, and they knew that only a small cult audience will enjoy it. They were right.
