Cansado e irritado, Zakes conduce por la autopista junto a su novia Beth, que duerme a su lado. Un camión blanco está a punto de chocar contra ellos y Zakes lo persigue con rabia para ver asombrado como de repente su puerta trasera se abre y aparece una mujer aterrorizada y ensangrentada. Antes de que pueda echar un segundo vistazo, la puerta se cierra. El chico se pregunta si lo que ha visto es real o producto de su imaginación. Llama a la policía pero su novia se enfada con él por no haber hecho más. Tras detenerse en una gasolinera, Beth desaparece. Zakes comprende entonces que el conductor del camión se la ha llevado. Another small, low-key British horror thriller and a very good and tense one at that. It’s closest to Anderson’s Joy Ride (the mystery surrounding the character of the dangerous driver is similar), but to give a better idea, I would also compare it to the first story of the recent Amusement, though I should also mention that Hush is the film I liked the most. The atmosphere builds up nicely and, even though it uses horror motifs seen many times over (a chase among crates…), it works brilliantly and the climax (said chase among crates) actually made me feel scared. The only problem it has is the awful British accent that made me doubt the mental soundness of the protagonist.
