Una niña de 10 años desaparece. El comisario Maurice Jobson descubre similitudes preocupantes con el caso de Clare Kemplay en 1974. Los remordimientos le atormentan ya que él y sus colegas contribuyeron a poner entre rejas al hombre equivocado, el joven Michael Myshkin.
