Un cazador llamado Gibbie Gibson (Donald Pleasence) descubre el naufragio de un avión de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en un precioso lago de las montañas de Nueva Zelanda. La nave contiene cincuenta millones de dólares en la bodega de carga, lo cual lleva a una banda de ladrones a amenazarlo tanto a él como a su hija. Oh man, this film was wild. The main guy felt like a cheesy knock-off of Indiana Jones, the girl was a complete drama queen who had me wanting to roll her down a hill with some of her lines, and then there was the old drunk guy—who was, honestly, the best part of the whole thing. He was hilarious, tossing out one-liners and downing a ridiculous amount of booze. At one point, I swear he drank a bottle, a flask, and by the end of one scene, he was holding yet another almost-empty bottle.
