Una especie de precursor de Cabin Fever. Los tres protagonistas naufragan en una isla habitada por un extraño científico que, como parte de un experimento nazi, ha desarrollado un organismo acuático microscópico que come carne humana. En cuanto a los guiones, los personajes son francamente fofos y un ligero acortamiento le habría venido bien a la película, pero hay algunas escenas memorables, por ejemplo la transformación bastante inventiva del organismo del título, y sorprende con algo de gore sólido.
