Imaginaos la infancia de John Lennon... Liverpool, 1955: un quinceañero inteligente y rebelde, sediento de vida. Una familia en la que abundan los secretos, con dos mujeres enfrentadas respecto al futuro de este chico, John Lennon: Mimi, la tía severa que lo ha criado, y Julia, su madre llena de vitalidad. Impulsado por su deseo de tener una familia normal, John se refugia en el nuevo y excitante mundo del rock, donde su genio inmaduro encuentra su alma gemela en el adolescente Paul McCartney. Pero justamente cuando John está a punto de empezar una nueva vida, sufre una trágica pérdida. The Beatles didn't particularly influence me for my music taste, however, I have always perceived their significance in the development of modern pop music, and I was not bothered by the personalities of the Fab Four. For fans of John Lennon, Nowhere Boy probably has a more emotional dimension. I give the awards that the film garnered more in relation to the impact Lennon left on British culture rather than any exceptional artistic impressions from the execution. Personally, I saw an honest three-star film that certainly won't leave a deep impression on me, at most I will remember that Kristin Scott Thomas played the role of the pedantic Aunt Mimi. Overall impression: 60%.
