At first I was like: "Oh, what an obvious ripoff of Devil Beside You. They ripped off the actor, the bad guy, and his nickname “Devil". That's lame!". But it changed. It started to feel different, "original". Even Mike's acting was different, no devilish look. I'm so glad they didn't repeat themselves (well, except for Rainie, who made her usual faces, but we'll forgive her). Plus, things start to change a lot towards the end, here it departs significantly from the aforementioned dorama. Because here it starts getting sad. Unnecessarily so. Doesn't she know that every disease gets discovered, that she can’t possibly hide something like that? Don't they watch movies? :-) The torment in the form of jumping into the pool (you'll understand the moment you see it if you watch it) is really double-edged – torment for the protagonists and torment for the viewer: romantic souls will be tormented by grief; other, more cynical ones with grimaces that enough is enough. Really, conversation is enough! Anyway, the screenwriter can torment the viewer, and some may accuse him of emotional blackmail (see the pool + the last episode) but I won't, because I guess that's the kind of thing I want to see. Luckily, apart from these “gut-wrenching" moments, the series also has some very hilarious and successful moments that warm you up, so I can forgive them for the later torment, besides I let the torment happen consensually :-D It brought out a lot of emotions from me. I know it's no use shouting at the screen what fools they are, but I couldn't help myself. I just got too invested in the plot... It was great. It's fifteen episodes, a little over an hour each, and if you're lucky, you'll catch the episodes that have a special at the end about how some of the scenes from that episode were filmed. I recommend it because it was often very funny. Plus you get a little insight into the secrets of filmmakers. (26.11.2009)
