Sinopsis(1)

inglés If you want to make something remarkable in the romantic film genre, you have no other option but to be original. And Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess have done a great job here. A cute, original, improbable but very inventive story with a number of beautiful scenes. ()

inglés A profound story that, in film form, reeks too much of the power of the book's adaptation and opens up too little as a cinematic medium. An overly literal film whose pacing is very uneven, with believable motivations and utterly unconvincing emotions. A riveting lead acting duo, most notably Anne Hathaway, who has opened the door to the elite. ()

inglés The film captivates primarily with its concept. It focuses on only one day of the year, specifically July 15th. It starts in the year 1988 and continues one year at a time into the future. In 1988, Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet when they sleep together after finishing school. When I say they sleep together, I mean it literally, I'm not talking about a metaphor for sex. They are both quite drunk, especially him, so nothing happens. But it is their first shared July 15th. However, it is not their last, although they are definitely not together every July 15th. It is a story about love, but also a story about how a person lets it escape their whole life, until maybe it's just too late. The film relies on great performances by Anne Hathaway - I admit that my weakness for her is absolutely confirmed by this film, but she is amazing - and Jim Sturgess, who, despite his boyish appearance, is a complete actor. Since "Across the Universe", he has come a long way and succeeded in starring in great films ("One Day", "The Way Back"). The film loses a bit of its charm by trying to be overly dramatic towards the end, attempting to make a too abrupt shift, which is unfortunately expected and only done to make the audience shed tears. I believe this was not intended in the original script and it reads much better on paper; here, the film is just a bit cheap towards the end. However, the chemistry between the two main actors saves the day, because they are just perfect together. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/09/jeden-den-jak-porodit-oliver-twist-wall.html ()
