Zoolander No. 2

A veces un poco más floja que la primera, a veces más «más de lo mismo», y al final, una gran diversión escandalosa, si te gusta el estilo de humor tan específico de Zoolander, que combina chifladura, sofisticación, hilaridad bizarra y lo absurdo. De todos modos, es un tiro al blanco para aquellos espectadores a los que les gustó la primera Zoolander, porque su secuela es algo muy parecido: una auténtica basura hecha por gente que tiene considerables dotes cinematográficas, gente que no es estúpida, tiene un don para el timing cómico y para varios estilos de humor, desde la comedia con cara seria a la gamberrada maníaca pasando por todo tipo de sátira y parodia. La película tiene un comienzo más lento, hay algunos puntos sordos y no todos los chistes funcionan, pero por ejemplo los últimos veinte minutos me reí casi sin parar. (15.02.2016)

I haven’t seen a cringier comedy for a long time, which I didn’t expect at all. And I must say that I didn’t even expect anything of the Zoolander sequel by default, since the first one years ago didn’t really excite me either. But people change, the times change and I thought that maybe, I could be a little bit more lenient with this kind of humor. But not only did Ben Stiller shoot total garbage, which could have been expected, it was also incredibly cringey, which I didn’t anticipate. When I was watching the movie, I felt embarrassed for him, and that doesn’t really happen often. At least Owen Wilson was there as Hansel and looked like he was actually from this world. I had a great time, and that was enough to make me happy this time. Excellent actors in absolutely foolish roles, but some in great ones. The presence of many stars will surprise you, some of whom you may not even notice. But this is an experience that will stay in my memory for a while, and I am very glad for that. It's great to have a good laugh at the cinema once in a while. (21.02.2016)

As a big fan of the first Zoolander, I was really looking forward to the second installment, but this? If it hadn’t been for the cast, I wouldn't have given any stars to this pathetic attempt to follow up the first installment. Mind-numbingly boring, nothing works, the script is terrible, the jokes aren’t funny, absolutely zero originality. This is what tea would taste like if you re-used the same bag 10 times. (22.06.2016)
