Sinopsis(1)

Jekyll, a scientist with dreams of transforming the world, develops and drinks a potion that separates the good and evil aspects of man. But his experiment goes awry, and he metamorphoses into the twisted and sadistic Mr. Hyde, a creature possessed of only the basest human qualities. Hyde wanders the darkest streets of foggy London, turning the city into a nightmare as he preys on those he encounters. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)

inglés Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde from 1941 is a successful adaptation that relies on excellent performances. I still think the 1931 adaptation is better, but I consider that one the best overall. It is evident that the best adaptations of Stevenson's book were made before 1950, which is quite sad because even in the following years, the story was adapted poorly. ()
