Sinopsis(1)

Vincent Wants To Sea is “a big, tragicomical cinematic experience”(AZ) from wunderkind scriptwriter/actor Florian David Fitz (Men In The City) about a determined young man with a self-proclaimed ‘clown in his head’ who speaks his mind and gets him into a colourful world of trouble.  Refusing to be defined by his Tourettes Syndrome, Vincent embraces the abundant absurdity of his newfound friendship with anorexic colleague Marie (Karoline Herfurth, The Reader) and obsessive-compulsive roommate Alex (Johannes Allmayer) to joyfully escape the confines of their otherwise soul destroying mental health clinic.Buoyed by the opportunity to fulfill a wish and finally scatter his mother's ashes to the sea, the mischievous trio steals a doctor's car and sets off on a madcap journey to the Italian coast.Pursued by his blustering father (Heino Ferch, Downfall) and his uptight therapist, Vincent's heartfelt race to freedom is an adventure fraught with both calamity and charm. inglés The film depicts the peculiar rebellion of three patients from a psychiatric clinic against stereotypes, insensitive surroundings, and above all their fate. One beautiful day, a boy with Tourette Syndrome, a skinny anorexic girl, and a cleanliness-obsessed neurotic decide to "borrow" their treating doctor's car and take a little vacation on the Italian seaside. They are being chased by the car's owner, who has certain problems explaining to her superiors the decrease in the number of diners, and the father of the main protagonist, who long ago resolved the dilemma of whether to prioritize his career or his family and is completely absorbed by his political position and self-importance. This German version of Easy Rider is a successful tragicomedy about friendship and coping with one's handicap. It is not an exceptional film, but it earns the adjective "likable." This road movie, set against the backdrop of the Alps, will likely resonate with viewers of the age of the film's characters, that is, young people who are not burdened by excessive responsibility. Overall impression: 75%. ()
