inglés It might not be appropriate given the genre, but for me Julia’s Eyes is beautiful. Morales builds the atmosphere so precisely and to the tiniest detail, delivering everything that can be expected from a thriller made in Spain, that watching it was pure joy. Unlike The Uninvited Guests, Morales’s previous film, Julia’s Eyes is more conservative plot-wise, which may lead to disappointment from “the mere repetition of a safe bet”, but at the same time, this new film is more focused and easier to grasp. What’s funny is that, around halfway through, the film gives the impression that it will result into something much more interesting and original that it is in the end. But I’m very satisfied, 2010 was a weak year in terms of pure horror and this film improves its reputation a little. ()

inglés As one coherent film it doesn't work; as two (almost) separate stories, it holds up squinting both of Julia's eyes. ()
