Kim Matthews es una joven de 19 años que, aunque hace tiempo fue campeona de skate, ahora atraviesa una mala época encargándose del cuidado de su padre. Es entonces cuando aparece una oportunidad en forma de trabajo de catering en uno de los chalets más exclusivos de los Alpes. Pese a que al principio Kim se encuentra un tanto desconcertada en un nuevo mundo de gente elegante, champán y esquí, pronto descubrirá el snowboard, y con él, la oportunidad de ganar la competición de la temporada. Dry English humor, two Bills, a wacky Northerner, a not-so-naive lady, a not-so-blond blonde, and it's all bogged down in clichés. But why not? The mountains were beautiful: white, cold, and attentive. The mountain cabin was unattainable. The exuberance of youth was there, too. Jesus, why not? For me, a relaxing movie that didn't treat me like an idiot, and nothing here was over the top (the mother's resistance, the final reconciliation, or the snowboard drama). And if I was entertained and not bored, why not give it the 4 stars?
