Un grupo multidisciplinar de investigación paranormal acude a un apartamento recién ocupado para estudiar los fenómenos anómalos que en él se producen: sombras extrañas, fenómenos lumínicos, objetos que se desplazan solos, sonidos de origen desconocido... Su propósito es registrar los hechos de forma científica empleando los medios técnicos más avanzados a su alcance, como la filmación infrarroja, las grabaciones psicofónicas o los medidores de fluctuación electromagnética. I expected the Spanish clone of Paranormal Activity and it is the Spanish clone of Paranormal Activity. Unfortunately though, it’s weaker than the weakest PA (edit autumn 2012: not anymore), and that for me means two stars, though the haters of found-footage will likely go much lower. I’m really disappointed that the creators didn’t come up with almost any interesting ideas, so you just watch something that you’ve already seen a million times before. But the worst is that the performances and the atmosphere aren’t good either. This time the Spaniards have disappointed, what a shame.

Apartment 143 is a film that doesn't offend, but unfortunately, the competition in the chosen theme is so large and strong that something needs to distinguish the film. And here, it simply didn't succeed with anything. The characters aren't downright annoying, but the scenes aren't downright scary either. It's all bland, rather below average. Apartment 143 is the kind of movie you watch when you want to see a ghost film where the haunting didn't quite work out. And then you won't mind watching a proper classic afterward.
