Your Love Never Fails is the story of Laura (Elisa Donovan), a working mother who just wants to spend more time with her daughter Kelsey, 9. Unfortunately, her demanding boss Paul (Fred Willard) has other ideas. When Kelsey's father, Dylan (Brad Rowe) files for joint custody, Laura is forced to take Kelsey to Texas, where she confronts the lifestyle, church and father (Tom Skerritt) that she left behind. A below-average "something" that could be described as a romantic comedy on video and TV. It's set in Texas and that's about the only thing that might be of interest. The desperate Elisa Donovan, in the lead role, doesn't know what to do with so much space in front of the camera and overacts far too much. The names John Schneider and Tom Skerritt in supporting roles are just there to be put on the cover as attractions. I was hoping that Victoria Pratt might be the only positive aspect, but even she has nothing to do. She may be a veterinarian, but that only means a one-time addition of a stethoscope to her outfit, which really isn't much. The whole thing is unfortunately filmed in a very unprofessional way, I especially find major issues with the editing and the cinematography. And as soon as I start being interested in the formal aspects, which don't work, the poor nature of this becomes clear. That’s too bad.
