Switch Girl!!

Points for hitting the mark, absolutely. Very, very hokey at the start, but then it sort of calms down, or essentially Nika stops dressing up in her house clothes and we get out more. Basically, we go through a typical shōjo manga thrown onto the screen. This wacky dorama offers an archetypal, standard story for girls (which isn't to say the other gender can't enjoy it as well), keeping all the gags from the manga. But that's okay, because it's insane and because one episode is something like 20 minutes long. And Arata is one fine-looking man. In the end, it’s average – but as a showcase for all sorts of Asian clichés, it's perfect. (19.04.2012)
