Sinopsis(1)
Jane (Pamela Franklin) y Cathy (Michele Dotrice) son dos jóvenes inglesas recorren en bicicleta la Francia rural. Cuando se detienen a descansar al lado de la carretera, Cathy decide tomar un baño de sol, discuten y Jane continúa el viaje sola. Poco después, reconsidera su decisión y regresa al punto donde dejó a Cathy, pero no la encuentra. Inquieta por la constante presencia de un motociclista, pide ayuda a un policía local (John Nettleton) para resolver el misterio. (Filmin)

The British-French production And Soon the Darkness is a good example of how you can make a very disturbing movie with a relatively short running time, with only a few actors, and where you can actually worry about the female protagonists, want to help them, and root for them at the same time. And Soon the Darkness has an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. That atmosphere is still palpable even after fifty years, and the original is much better than the remake in this regard.
