Series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. You should have said right away that Lucy was in love with Mina. And the fact that this is the wild wild Victorian west. I hadn't had this much fun with a series this short in a long time, but this is the latest version of the Stoker myth, and lesbian Lucy promised a very fine plot, so I wanted to give it a chance no matter what. The ending was good. A whole cohort of main characters were slaughtered, so while a virtual second series might have been at least attractive along the lines of "lesbian vampire Lucy gets revenge on Dracula and Mina," everything else would have to be reinvented from scratch, and some lame bitter Jonathan certainly couldn't pull it off. Overall it was a very interesting experience, but I'm not grieving. And Dracula now has a new favorite face - Luke Evans in the latest film.
