Cinco ladrones, cuando se dan cuenta que los tiempos están cambiando, deciden cambiar el robo de bancos por los secuestros de personajes públicos. Uno de los secuestrados es el cantante Johnny Hallyday y otro es el mismísimo embajador de América Latina. Los cinco ladrones se ven envueltos en un embrollo que les llevará a un juicio en el que el Gobierno francés decidirá dejarlos huir a África. (Filmin)

Regular crime doesn’t pay. The money is in politics. Buckets of it. All it takes is to kick for the left wing for a while, then for the right wing, then immediately after that swing to the extreme left, or ideally do all this at once. And that’s exactly what a gang of “gangsters" around Lino (Ventura) has in plan. They have countless ideas, but putting them into practice somehow falters. A good comedy that in places borders on well-aimed satire, especially at the end. The Russian roulette scene is simply genius. Too bad that there aren’t more such unforgettable moments in the course of the fairly long running time. And when it’s over, don’t forget to make a donation to you-know-who, so they have sufficient finances for their spaghetti, sun glasses and plans to the future. They deserve at least a meeting with Pelé. After all, adventure is adventure, isn’t it?
