"The Harvest" is not a film that will scare you with jump scares, but it will scare you with its atmosphere. It will captivate you with what is happening here and how people act when they are in a crisis situation and when they want to help their child at all costs. Michael Shannon once again demonstrates what a great actor he is, and here, where exaggerated acting is not needed, he portrays a surprisingly calm character. His artistry is once again in the right place. ()
I don’t know what I was thinking, watching a horror movie over lunch. I was quite lucky that this film isn’t scary at all. And the only reason to watch it is Michael Shannon. He really isn’t a bad actor and it’s a pity that he keeps pigeon-holing himself in nonsense movies like this one. ()
