Elise y Didier llevan juntos siete apasionados años. I have to admit one thing. I would never have thought that the Belgians of all people would make a movie about a folk-music nutjob. He’s this long-haired and bearded tramp who lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere with all the animals in the world. It would have never occurred to me that a person like that could even live in Belgium. That kind of character does not really fit with that nation for me and what fits even less is the country music. For a story like that, I could imagine the Czech singers Michal Tučný, Wabi Daněk or maybe somebody from the United States. But Belgians? Having said that, I have to admit that this is a pretty brutal, uncompromising and at the same time well-made drama.
