After inheriting a house from the family she never knew, Samantha Harris (Trin Miller) and three friends head to rural Sader Ridge to inspect the property. Soon after arriving, Sam begins to experience horrific visions of savage brutality and unspeakable evil. The Invoking is a movie for undemanding viewers because even its creators didn't try to bring anything more to the table. They simply devoted the minimum effort to the movie, starting with the screenplay, and then they just tried to film it quite cheaply. When it comes to being cheap, they certainly succeeded because it looks like something they barely invested anything into, apart from their spare time. And unfortunately, that's all that The Invoking is.
