It’s got classic action sequences that try to look incredibly cool, just like all the characters who appear in them. The main character is quite bearable; you can see he can throw a punch, and his psychological disorder adds an interesting layer. Not that it makes that much sense for the story. Otherwise, it’s not pretending to be anything more than what it is. ()
A fine action B-movie, albeit silly, so very entertaining with a surprisingly solid cast. Michael Jai White is really, dropping one wisecrack after another. The opening scene in the shop is one of the most interesting of the film, and then of course the very end vs the Lateefs and the Japanese with the samurai sword. Fast, not boring, the fights could have been better and rougher, but within the budget it’s OK. 60%. ()
