Explora los últimos 25 años de la vida del excéntrico pintor inglés J.M.W. Turner (1775 - 1851). Profundamente afectado por la muerte de su padre y querido por un ama de llaves a quien subestima y de quien ocasionalmente se aprovecha sexualmente, Turner intima con la dueña de una casa de huéspedes junto al mar, para acabar viviendo con ella de forma secreta en Chelsea, donde acabará sus días. Durante estos 25 años, Turner se dedica a viajar, pintar, pasar temporadas con la aristocracia en la campiña inglesa y frecuentar burdeles. En una ocasión, se hace atar al mástil de un barco para poder pintar una tormenta de nieve. Como miembro popular y anárquico de la Real Academia de las Artes es celebrado y denigrado por el público y la realeza. (Wanda Visión)
