An innocent camping trip takes a dark turn for a young brother and sister, when they witness a murder. The young siblings become the killers' next target as they are chased and hunted through the wilderness. Serving time over a protest gone terribly wrong, their father, Jack Damson (Brendan Fraser), devises a plan to break out of prison and rescue his kids from the pair of criminals Tommy (Dominic Purcell) and Kenny (Ethan Suplee). I don't know when was the last time I saw a movie that had such a simple plot and yet such an incredibly cluttered storyline. So many characters, whose introduction to the scene is mostly illogical or random. And yet it's all just about a group of people trying to escape from two crazy guys. Nothing new, it just tries to be incredibly convoluted. Fraser and Purcell fail mainly in the action scenes. Not that it would be great otherwise. Oh well. Lately, I've been seeing too many similar movies that are worth... well, you know.
