It might surprise some, but even a western needs people who know how to act. That was not the case with 2013's Billy the Kid. It’s a group of non-actors pretending to be in a western, but it doesn’t quite work because there’s none of the gritty, dusty atmosphere that’s essential. The actors speak as if they’ve met somewhere in a Manhattan restaurant, where they probably also bought those truly dreadful costumes. Horrible and boring. So, so boring. How come even westerns are boring?
