The whole script seemed sort of naive to me, I didn't enjoy Stuart Townsend’s performance at all, and the logic was shaky at times. The screenwriter equipped the main villain with two basic threats: "If you shoot me, your daughter will die." and for more intimate moments, "If you cut my dick off, your daughter will die." Two stars mainly for Kevin Bacon and Charlize Theron.
