Sunt o babă comunistă

A bittersweet film full of nostalgia for the Communist era in Romania. Pensioner Emilia comes to terms with old grievances and new times of change and transformation. Emilia is long retired. She lives with her husband in a tiny apartment and has learned to be very economical. Her daughter has lived in the United States for several years and is now coming to visit with her American husband. Emilia dedicates herself to the preparations and borrows money so she can properly welcome the guests ... Yet, she cannot stop thinking about the past which comes back to her in bright colors: like the time she nearly shook hands with Nicolae Ceausescu. (Days of European Film)
