In Night of Something Strange, you'll find humor that you might like, as well as some that you'll find awkward. You will find gore that will surprise you with its violence, but also gore that will surprise you with the quality of its execution. You will be able to see that the filmmakers had a few ideas. Sometimes very crazy ideas, but they managed to present them in a way that was interesting. It's not a great horror film, but it does have something going for it.
