inglés I like the concept of this story, but the casting is so badly done, especially in the roles of the children, that I had trouble identifying with them and I actually failed to do so. Ellen Burstyn delivers one of her classically good performances, but her character itself is not that great. The children look too good and heroic to just be beaten up and suffer, especially the older ones should be a bit more battered. The perfection of their hair and the amount of makeup they wear only accentuates the inability to create the right atmosphere. What a pity, the concept is very interesting and controversial. I will have to watch the 1987 movie, of which this is a remake. Both films, the original and this TV one, are based on the book by Virginia C. Andrews. The movie will continue in "Petals on the Wind." ()
