Dr. Johnson (Fred Williams) lives in bliss with his beautiful wife (Soledad Miranda) until his unorthodox experiments with human embryos cause a medical committee to reject his findings and order him to discontinue his work. Una película bastante coherente para ser de Jesús Franco, tiene pies y cabeza, y al mismo tiempo no le falta la basura española de los años setenta. Especialmente la enérgica música pop en las escenas de asesinato protagonizadas por la bella (desnuda) viuda vengadora. No se trata de suspense, sino de la trágica pérdida que experimenta y de su odio hacia los culpables. Hay muchas tomas de los ojos furiosos de la vengadora. En realidad, es un melodrama degenerado en explotación de venganza. Horst Tappert como detective - ¡tres años antes del comienzo de la famosa serie Derrick! Lo que convierte a Franco en una especie de Roger Corman español.

I like Jesús Franco. That's why I like the styling of the film She Killed in Ecstasy. Sure, it's not great in terms of the sex or violence. But it has its charms. However, the film is also almost 50 years old! That's not a small thing. It's a fact that the horror film She Killed in Ecstasy has to hit the right note because otherwise, it will be quite ordinary for you. In my case, it hit the right note, even with its imbalance.
