Nine-year-olds Putta and Basu are unlikely friends in a small fishing village in coastal Karnataka. While Putta is aggressive and studious at school, Basu is exactly the opposite. When the two are faced with serious problems at home, Basu’s grandma’s story comes as a solution. The story says that whoever goes to the distant island in the sea, leaves something behind for Panjurli (a spirit!) and prays, their wishes come true! Thus, Putta and Basu decide to venture into the sea in their small wooden dinghy and the adventure of one day will change the lives of many in more ways than one! (Zlín Film Festival)
