Nat Dayan (Jonathan Pryce) es un viejo panadero del este de Londres que se esfuerza por mantener la actividad de su tienda frente a la competencia de un supermercado cercano que llega incluso a quitarle a su único empleado. Sin mucho entusiasmo, Nat contrata como aprendiz a un joven inmigrante musulmán, Ayyash, (Jerome Holder), originario de Darfur, que ocasionalmente es también vendedor de cannabis. La relación entre ambos no es fácil, hasta que un accidente fortuito hace reactivar las ventas. (VerCine)

Some films get me with their simplicity, their lightness, and how they portray interesting characters. Dough is perhaps overly simple, and overly naive in some aspects, but the idea of a Jew and a Muslim running a bakery together is beautifully utopian and, at the same time, touching. They work great together, mainly because of the actors.
